Q: Does Newrock Homes provide financing?

A: We work with the best mortgage professionals in the business that can provide you with a mortgage/construction loan for your project. Of course you can use your own bank or mortgage company but our mortgage professionals have been chosen based on their ability to provide our clients with great service at the best possible rates.




Q. Do I need to own land before talking and planning with a Newrock Homes Consultant?

A. Absolutely not! We can assist you in finding the lot that best meets your needs. Currently there are over 600 lots available in Southwest Washington. We can e-mail a list to you, or you can stop by our office.



Q. Does Newrock Homes provide written estimates?

A. Lots of builders give a “rough estimate” for the cost of a new home. At Newrock Homes we can give you a written bid including available changes, options and upgrade prices within a couple of days.



Q. Can I customize the plans available to better suit my needs?

A. Yes you can. Your home is being built for you and your lifestyle. A Newrock home has many upgrades and options available. See your home consultant for details.



Q. Is a deposit required to get started?

A. A minimal deposit is normally required to build the home of your dreams. Simply ask a Newrock Homes consultant the details to get started.



Q. Do I need a down payment?

A. After construction (if finished) our clients will often have “built in equity” of up to $40,000. And, because our homes consistently appraise higher than the cost to build, you may qualify for zero down financing.



Q. Where do you build?

A. We are currently building in Cowlitz, Clark and Lewis counties and throughout SW Washington.



Q. How long does it take to build my home?

A. The whole process from excavation to delivering you the keys typically takes less than six months.



Q. Can a daylight basement be added to any house?

A. Yes. Most plans can be modified to add a daylight basement, provided your lot is sloped property.



Q. Are your homes custom built?

A. Yes, Newrock Homes Inc. is a full service general contractor. We build your home on site, board by board, using skilled craftsmen paying relentless attention to detail. Don’t settle for a cookie cutter, inferior built home.



Q. Do you offer a warranty?

A. es! We stand behind the work we do with a full one year builder warranty. And at no cost to you, we provide an extra warranty from Residential Warranty Company (RWC) that covers your home up to six years. Click here for details.



Q. Can I do any of the work myself?

A. Our standard home is “turn key” meaning we handle everything from all site work to the last coat of paint. But for our clients that want to save up to 30%, we offer a “dried in shell”. See your home consultant for details.



Q. I do not have time to build, but want a new home. How can you help?

A. We often have speculative homes built and ready to move into. These homes tend to sell fast so contact us immediately if you would like to know what we have available.



Q. I want to build a new home but I have a home I need to sell. What is the first step?

A. You have several options. One would be to use your equity to build your new home. Newrock Homes also has a trade in program currently available. Ask your home consultant about the many solutions to this common question.



Q. Is it true I could hire Newrock Homes to build a home for me that I could turn around and sell for a profit?

A. This is commonly referred to as speculative building. Because of the high value and quality Newrock Homes offers you, it is quite possible to have a home built and then sell it for a profit. Of course we cannot guarantee you a profit but we have seen many investors profit very well building “spec” homes.
